It’s no secret here that the mainstream media tilts drastically left. Proof might be in what I observed (or didn’t observe) Wednesday night after Sarah Palin’s speech – namely, that CNN was speechless.
I flipped to CNN from Fox right after the speech to get the impressions of our dear, dear friends on the left – they were broadcasting the roll vote! (I switched back 10 minutes later and they were still doing it!) Instead of analyzing the speech and its implications, they were showing their viewers the stale pictures of paint drying. It was the journalistic equivalent of punting! Evidently, CNN must have felt there could be a surprise in the process because their response to her magnificent speech was to show state delegations casting their pre-determined votes - as if there were some kind of drama to the process! It was like watching a replay of last year’s Super Bowl – and wondering if the Patriots would somehow pull it out!
I can almost hear the banter on the headsets between the producers and the talent:
“Anybody got a bullet?”
“Negative, chief. Give us some time. Cover. We’re going to have to take a closer look at what just happened. Whew!”
“All right, then. I want Three and Four on close-ups of the delegate counts. We’ll stall until one of you Einstein’s can find some dirt.”
