I like this new ad from the RNC. A clear point needs to be repeated here. it is the difference between association and alignment. I'm associated in different ways with my neighbors, my mailman, my relatives. These are not relationships of choice, they're just there, for good or for bad. It's likely that some of the relations in your life will turn out to be not the sort you would chose to align yourself with, or they may even be flat-out rotten. Also, you may know about their lives, or you may not. But relations you chose to align yourself is a different matter. From this we can make character assessmanets. And Barack Obama has a closet full of them.
