I'm so glad we've got that "peace on Earth, good will toward man" crap out of the way. Now that Christmas is done and Bethlehem is clearing out, the Israeli Defence Forces can smack down the idiot, martyr wannabes in the Gaza.
At least 208 "Palestinians" have gone to meet Allah in the last 24 hours (including the inevitable innocent bystanders), all in retaliation for weeks of rocket attacks by Hamas on Israel. I don't blame the Israelis. If Ontario was launching rockets into Ely, I would demand a strong response.
The question I have is, where is the precious, useless United Nations? Where has that waste of space ever been in dealing with this decades long conflict? We not only host this refuge of dictators and despots, we are also expected to pony up nearly a billion dollars a year for their expenses. Why? What the Hell has the U.N. EVER done to help solve the world's problems? The only major initiative they have going right now is the Man Made Global Warming fraud sponsored by the IPCC that is nothing more than a massive transfer of wealth scam from the West to those self-same dictators and despots.

ISRAELI DEFENCE MINISTER EHUD BARAK: "We face a period that will be neither easy nor short, and will require determination and perseverance until the necessary change is achieved in the situation in the south."
ISLAMIC JIHAD: "All fighters are ordered to respond to the Israeli slaughter."
HAMAS ARMED WING SPOKESMAN ABU UBAIDA: The group will "teach the enemy a lesson they will never forget".
What do we hear from Bang Kok Loon and his United Nations? Crickets. Same tune we've heard for a half century. Go into Yugoslavia? Sure! Iraq? Blessings upon you, Bush. Rwanda? Yes, but we can't actually shoot anyone. Darfur? Never heard of it. Polar bears? Activate all necessary resources! Global alarm!
The United States is required to pump nearly a billion dollars a year into this vacuum on Turtle Bay. Ambassador John Bolton famously said the top ten floors of the U.N. could be lopped off and no one would notice. I'll go him one better. Bulldoze the dump and put up some condos. The world would be a better place.
