My Daddy always used to say "I don't chew my cabbage twice," meaning that he didn't like repeating himself. Unfortunately, that sometimes leads to difficulty in swallowing, especially when it's tough cabbage like the apparent McCain ascendancy. Yes, there are a few tender leaves on the outside, but the inner core is hard and lacking nutritional value for conservatives. It needs to be chewed two or three times before it's going to go down well, and maybe not even then. Rather than my rehashing it myself, though, let me point you to a Michelle Malkin column which says it all, to me. No dessert until you eat your cabbage.
