Save the Dakotas!

With the Presidential race looking like a possible landslide— think like a 1980 style victory and with can come big coattails. This will make it the best time in years to do some serious housecleaning. I am speaking of the home of my heart - the Dakotas. Having grown up in Bismarck I can safely say it is not a place well represented by Tom Daschle or Byron Dorgan.

Up until today I thought Mike Liffrig—opposing ND's Dorgan—had no chance as the DNC keeps Dorgan well funded. Then I heard an interview on Michael Medved and learned of a low budget ad campaign that has lit a fire in the Roughrider state. Go to Liffrig's site and check the TV ad showing two men coming in for a kiss followed by two guys in leather jackets with one woman labeled whatever. This hits home in the very socially conservative state of North Dakota, the numbers are 70-20 in opposition to gay marriage.

Today I sent $50 to John Thune to help rid their state of Daschle, and $50 to Liffrig to gas Dorgan. Both of these lefties have been around since I got out of high school. To add insult to injury Dorgan has also been cozying up to Michael Moore who did an insulting piece on the humble state of North Dakota back in his NBC TV days.

Many of us now live in Minnesota but we still hear and dish the Nodak jokes—we have a thick hide and are as used to state jokes as the Rhode Island people. But we were also not born yesterday and can see through those that seek to erase our culture, crap on our president in a time of war and support every liberal idea that comes up the Red River. Get off hte wallets wherever you are from these states can be won, and these dinosaurs need to take a long walk.
