One of the better Van Halen shots from Saturday night... http://t.co/7FdccN3S and the cradle did rock.
If Democrats get their way this legislative session,
This is the assessment of House Republican Leader Marty Seifert of Marshall. According to the numbers Seifert has compiled, the average family will get nailed to the tune of over $1000 per taxpayer in this fiscal period if the majority has their way. Rep.marty.seifert.house.mn.us
This, in an era of a 2.2 Billion surplus!
Thankfully, we have a Republican sitting in the Big Chair who can veto the irresponsible, petulant or outright corrupt legislation being put forward by a Democratic Party obsessed with creating wealth for some, by confiscating the wealth of others.
This is where the battle lines between the parties ought to be defined. Seifert is toeing that line and ought to receive our encouragement. He is probably the only Republican who is consistently voicing the conservative message (even moreso than our suddenly tepid governor). Aside from Michelle Bachmann, there appears to be no other Republican in this state who is currently willing to defend conservative positions and articulate why limited and government still belong in the same sentence.
